As an Island resident I have managed my own successful construction business for over 50 years employing many local tradesmen. This means that I understand the importance of running efficiently and obtaining the best value for money.
I am passionate about all aspects of construction appreciating attractive architecture and the need for conservation.
As a previous Councillor for Ventnor West I was instrumental in the construction of the new toilets in Central car park, refurbishment of Shore Rd toilets, major refurbishment and maintenance of VTC’s office building and redesign of Spring Hill Gardens
I was an active member of Assets and Services working group and the Planning committee.
An Eco water saving project at both the Cascades and Ventnor Park were at my suggestion and I worked with contractors to install pumps to elicit a fiscal saving as well as efficient use of natural water flows
I organized the refurbishment of the Beach Safety hut and continue to organise the siting of memorial benches.
I very much appreciate Ventnor’s beautiful Victorian heritage and welcome questions and concerns relating to the areas amenities from the residents of Bonchurch and Ventnor East
