Next week is Better Transport Week. Pop along to Thursday Kitchen at St Catherine’s Church to celebrate the week with a cuppa and a chat!
So, what is better transport?
It’s transport that is safe, accessible, affordable, reliable, integrated, and green – does amazing things. It connects communities and brings people together; creates a thriving economy and revitalises local areas; it’s good for our health and wellbeing; and it cleans up our air and tackles climate change. We think that’s something worth celebrating!
This year, the annual celebration of sustainable transport will take place from 15 to 21 June and the theme for the week is celebrating how better transport connects people and places.
Why not arrive by bus at Thursday Kitchen for refreshments from 10.30am onwards. There are plenty to choose from Southern Vectis 3, 6 and the Island Coaster and the Ventnor Town Council funded Number 31 Ventnor Community Bus which now runs on Thursdays. This means you can pop along in the morning for refreshments and a friendly chat at Thursday Kitchen every week.
