Volunteers needed for the Fell Running Championships in Ventnor. Don’t worry you don’t have to run – they just need marshals!

Information shared from Ryde Harriers.

It’s nearly time for the Fell Running Championships in Ventnor.

The Isle of Wight Fell Running Championship Series were started in 1995 by Eddie Leal (Ryde Harriers) and Brenda Lawson (the then Mayor of Ventnor).

The event is organised by Ryde Harriers and Ventnor Fell Running Championship Association and includes 2 days of races on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September. Full details of the races can be found here: The Isle of Wight Fell Series | Ryde Harriers

The race organisers are on the lookout for people to help marshal the event on both days. It is a fun weekend of watching and cheering on the runners as they run up from the seafront to the Downs and over the local hills. Marshals are needed at various points in the town to direct runners.

If you would like to help out, please email: catherine@ventnortowncouncil.gov.uk or ring 01983 857848.
