On a balmy Wednesday evening in Ventnor the main parade was a fantastic success and enjoyed by a large crowd of spectators lining the route. The atmosphere was one of laughter and fun, the floats were spectacular and a credit to all of the hard work done by the volunteers who create them.
Bands a plenty graced this long awaited for Carnival, they did not disappoint. Indeed the show they put on was full of music for everyone, the Ventnor Comic Jazz Band created their usual mayhem which pleased the crowd who lapped it up and applauded every inch of the route.
The marching bands all performed heroically in the heat as did all of the participants.
