Additional Information
My career has been equally divided between diagnostic pathology in the NHS and as a university lecture, also representing my profession on national professional bodies.

I have previous experience serving as a town councillor in Ryde between 2013 – 2017 and as the Deputy Mayor. During this time I was a governor at Green Mount Primary School and Ryde Academy.

Essentially a hands on and practical person, I most enjoy walking, woodwork, growing all things green and playing the ukulele. A considerable amount of my time is spent at the Ventnor Community Shed and also volunteering with the Ventnor Enhancement Fund.

I am also an advocate for the preservation of our local and the Island’s natural beauty and
green spaces together with the promotion of a greener economy.

I believe strongly in the principles of localism where community voices are heard and then
used to inform decision making. I look forward to working with fellow councillors
and council officers with the aim of providing a better Ventnor for all.
